The tax office does not directly know about your religious affiliation unless you choose to disclose it. However, if you choose to claim a tax deduction for charitable donations made to religious organizations, the tax office may infer your religious affiliation based on the organizations you have donated to. Additionally, some religious organizations may provide their members with tax receipts for their donations, which could also indicate your religious affiliation to the tax office. Ultimately, the tax office's knowledge of your religious affiliation would be based on the information you provide in your tax return or through supporting documentation. **

Religious affiliation is not typically stated in passports. Passports generally contain personal identification information such as name, date of birth, nationality, and photograph, but do not include information about religious beliefs. This is because the separation of religion and state is a fundamental principle in many countries, and including religious affiliation in official documents could be seen as a violation of this principle. Additionally, including religious affiliation in passports could potentially lead to discrimination or profiling based on religious beliefs. **

Proof of religious affiliation can typically be obtained from a religious institution such as a church, mosque, synagogue, or temple. This proof may come in the form of a membership card, a letter from a religious leader, or a certificate of baptism or other religious ceremony. Some countries may also recognize official documents such as a religious marriage certificate as proof of religious affiliation. **
